Strategist

As a Strategist you will be helping shape and define clients digital strategies and working with them on implementation, campaign delivery and analysis.

This requires managing a number of projects and client relationships ranging from strategy creation, presentation, SEO, CRO, analytics and performance marketing.

Working with our team of marketers, designers and developers you will be an integral part of the agency, helping our clients grow their business online with smart strategy, input on eCommerce projects and campaign execution.

Also, input into our own agency marketing strategy to grow awareness of Rotate°.

Key Activities

  • Owning client roadmaps (annual and by quarter), ensuring we stay on track
  • Conducting quarterly sessions with client
  • Identifying new projects and opportunities with the client-base
  • Identifying new work-streams, tools, 3P systems which Rotate should be delivering
  • Proposal creation
  • Delivering strategic output for Rotate (blog posts, white papers, talks)
  • Data analysis at key stages of projects
  • Client representative in decision-making
  • Building client relationships at a strategic (rather than day to day) level

You are an active and visible leader within the agency

You participate in setting the strategy for the agency and lead how your team's work forms part of the agency’s overall strategy.

You are a consistent champion of the agency's vision, values, strategy and proposition, acting as an ambassador for Rotate internally and externally at all times.

You identify and deal proactively and appropriately with issues, wherever they may be in the agency, working with other leadership team members as necessary to ensure a successful outcome

You take on and execute unfamiliar responsibilities positively, recognising that dealing with significant ambiguity and unknowns is a core part of the leadership role

You are regularly appraising your own competency and developing yourself in the role

You demonstrate a clear separation between personal, department and company considerations, ensuring you act in the best interests of the agency as a whole.

You take responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of all agency projects

Every project has appropriate quality control, oversight, risk management and review so that they are delivered successfully

You identify issues and root causes that are affecting overall delivery of projects

You intervene and facilitate or direct actions on projects to address issues, working closely with the department Directors, taking responsibility for satisfactory resolution

You act as senior day-to-day contact for resolving complex and tricky delivery management problems on projects

You ensure the delivery team sets quarterly goals that ensure we can successfully deliver software projects for our clients.

You ensure the delivery team delivers the agreed quarterly goals.

You lead the delivery team’s contribution to new business (qualification, proposals, pitches) and ensure that the work for this is delegated to suitable team members.

You provide professional development coaching to members of the delivery chapter and others as necessary in line with agreed professional development plans and as necessary to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.

You act as line manager for your direct reports and ensure all team members have effective 1:1s and professional development planning.

You successfully recruit and onboard new delivery team members so they are effective in their role

You ensure all team members have effective 1:1s and professional development planning.

You ensure ensure all team members receive appropriate coaching and professional support in line with their roles on projects and their professional development plans

You ensure projects and services always have appropriate team members allocated to balance commercial success and effective project delivery.

You create and facilitate stable, well-formed, longterm project teams with the right skills and experience to successfully deliver each project.
